Testimonials
"Jason took time out of his busy schedule to work with our band students last Wednesday during Jazz Band, 8th and 7th grade bands. He was very engaging with the students and they were captivated with his skills and musicianship. I was most impressed with his professionalism and ease of building immediate rapport with our students. It was both an honor and a pleasure to meet and work with Jason Edwards!" - Linda M. Cate, Mattson Middle School
"As a middle school band director, I am very impressed with Jason’s ability to take playing concepts and distill them down to where my new, 11 year-old drummers could not only understand them, but be excited to practice what he taught them. Jason is known as a talented player, but he is also a personable instructor my students could relate to. On top of that, he arrived early for every class. I’m very grateful for his help and highly recommend him as a clinician or section instructor." - Paul Johnson, Cedar River Middle School
"Jason came and worked with my students near the end of the 2010-2011 school year. At a time when they were not terribly focused on participating in or learning anything new, he engaged them fully and they were excited to be working with him. I hope he will be able to come back earlier in the school year this time so we can put into practice the skills and tips he gives the students." - Kathy Green, Totem Middle School
"We were lucky enough to have Jason come to our middle school to play for 3 of our band classes. Jason did a wonderful job of drawing students in and keeping their attention. He has a nice, calm demeanor that works well with kids of all ages. His presentation was well thought out and included many elements meant for all musicians, not just percussionists. My students left feeling like they had a real treat, and were excited about music." - Dave Carver, Kilo Middle School
"Jason Edwards captivated my percussion students with a fun, innovative approach that makes practicing cool, and powerful. He grabs their respect instantly with the skills he demonstrates. Kids easily identify with his teaching and the technology he uses. It was a great experience." - Scott Allen, Rainier Middle School

Testimonials
"I had been playing/studying conga drums for over a decade and became hungry for a wider perspective on drumming in regards to musicality, theory, and performance. Jason Edwards was the spot-on teacher I was looking for. He enthusiastically took on the challenge to learn the specific parameters of hand-drumming. Using his breadth of knowledge of the drum set, his creativity, and patient listening, he opened the myriad of rhythmic possibilities of the conga drum. He also helped prioritize my learning by setting appropriate goals, yet challenging my growth through exercises, rudiments, and media resources. Jason provided me with what I wanted and much, much more. Jason is very encouraging, personable, and professional. He loves what he does, and it shows. I recommend him highly!" - Steve Kastama
"I took lessons from Jason for about 2 years. He helped me jumpstart my love for drums! He was always happy to help me work through any struggles or questions I had about a song, rudiment, or play-along track. Without Jason, I probobly wouldn't be the drummer I am today!" - Braden Merod
"I took drum lessons from Jason for over a year and the thing that sticks out in my mind the most when I think back is his great attitude! I would always get a great big smile at the door and that is huge in my book. He would always make sure to keep me focused by making things fun like incorporating songs that I liked in to our lessons while also making sure I learned the necessary material like learning to read and write music. If I am ever back in the Seattle area I will be sure to set up some more lessons with Jason!" - Daniel Martinez
